The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has issued an important notice for businesses in Dubai: those with licenses issued in June must register for Corporate Income Tax by 31.08. This deadline is crucial for maintaining compliance and avoiding potential penalties.
Here is what business owners need to know.
Key Points for Business Owners Registration Requirement
The Corporate Income Tax registration requirement applies to:
-Resident individuals and companies
-Non-resident entities operating in the UAE
-Juridical persons (including companies and organizations)
Deadline Determination
Your registration deadline depends on your license issuance date:
For businesses established before 01.03.2024: Registration is based on your license issue month
For expired licenses as of 01.03.2024: Use the original issue month
For multiple license holders: The earliest license date applies
Importance of Timely Registration
The FTA has emphasized the critical nature of meeting these deadlines. They’ve communicated this information through various channels, including print, visual, and audio media, official FTA social media accounts, and direct communication with registered company owners
Adhering to the specified deadlines is essential to avoid penalties and ensure smooth business operations.
